Let's talk sleep. Due to my bad habit of staying up too late, I've been quite the zombie during the work day lately - so this week, I'm committing myself to a solid 7-8 hours per night. For me this is quite a task, but a few of my nighttime favorites will definitely help. 


Tell me I'm not alone in my constant sleep struggle! What are some of your bedtime rituals?

  1. I love burning a scented candle (Tocca makes great ones) while reading in bed...I just need to work on not falling asleep with the candle still burning :)

    1. i love that idea! it sounds so relaxing...blowing out the candle would be key though! :)

  2. Oh gosh, this couldn't have come at a more perfect time. The only other thing I would suggest is a wake-up lamp (which is good if you close your shades at night), which is ideal for my windowless bedroom. And on occasion, a sleep mask can be nice!

    1. a sleep mask would probably work wonders for me - my bedroom is so bright from all the street lights outside at night!

  3. I always have bedtime tea when I'm feeling restless. Lately I've been going to bed early enough but I find myself waking up 5-6 times in the night. I've heard melatonin is great for sleeping but haven't tried it yet, I was taking 500mg of magnesium before bed and that seemed to do the trick as well.

    1. yeah, sometimes when i go to bed too early (like 9ish) i think my body thinks it's taking a nap, and i end up waking up two hours later. so annoying!
