wanderlust wednesday: my travel essentials

Mixing it up today - I'm always curious what people pack and wear while traveling, so today I'm sharing a few of my personal travel essentials for airplane travel. A few carry-on must haves, a few packing essentials...enjoy!

{the suitcase} : DVF On The Go Upright: I love a stylish, carry-on-able weekender with a little structure - this one is perfect for adding polish while offering plenty of room for a few extra outfit changes!

{the space-saver} : Nook Simple Touch + Jonathan Adler Chevron Cover: It's a must for me to catch up on reading while traveling - for years, I would pack 2-3 books just. in. case. Needless to say, my Nook has become my very favorite travel accessory. This graphic case adds protection and a bit of style.

{the travel tote} : BAGGU Duck Tote: Wherever you're headed, you're probably going to need a tote or beach bag when you arrive. This soft and sturdy bag is perfect for rolling up into your suitcase for use during your trip!

{the casual-chic cover up} : Topshop MOTO Western Jacket: My internal temperature is constantly fluctuating while at the airport and on the plane - a stylish denim jacket is my favorite way to quickly cover up, while avoiding looking frumptastic.

{comfy + stylish slip-ons} : Soludos for J.Crew Dali Espadrilles: Duh. P.S. These fun, comfy shoes are currently on sale.

{travel-sized favorites}
  • Trader Joe's Shea Butter Hand Cream: Isn't it the worst to be trapped in that dry airplane air without hand lotion? This random TJ find has become my very favorite - light yet creamy, and no smelly smells to bother others on a crowded flight.
  • Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes: You no longer need to pack eye makeup remover and face wash - these one-step cleansing towels are so lovely and refreshing, and take off everything. No rinsing required!
  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Purse Spray: This light, feminine scent is my very favorite; plus, this travel bottle is sturdy enough to throw in a carry-on - don't you feel like those little vials are going to be crushed??

So tell me - what are your essentials for traveling? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Love the idea of the towelettes; I need to make sure I bring some when I'm out of town next! I don't usually bring my Kindle, but I think I'm going to start - way easier than hefting too many books with me on the airplane. Looks like you covered all the sort of things I would bring!
