grilled chili-lime chicken

I bought a grill pan a few days ago.

I went into to TJMaxx for just the grill pan. TJMaxx is such a great place to buy inexpensive kitchen things. The problem is, it's a great place to buy inexpensive every things. I wandered for a bit and browsed the aisles. Quickly, my one grill pan turned into a cart full of items, including {but not limited to}: an orange spatula, ridiculous 5-inch heels, a new travel mug, and colored decorating sugar.

But! This chicken {with it's delicious grill-pan-grill marks} totally makes up for my lapse in self-control. The zesty citrus and hint of spice is just right for when the weather starts to get warm. Try it it out on your grill {pan} this weekend!

Grilled Chili-Lime Chicken
serves 2

- 1/2 T chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- large pinch cayenne pepper {more if you like it spicy!}
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- zest of one lime
- juice of half of one lime
- two chicken breasts
  1. Mix the spice blend and zest well.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and rub generously with spice blend.
  3. Grill the chicken for 8-10 minutes, until deliciously charred!
  4. Finish with a squeeze of lime on each chicken breast. Serve with grilled veggies.
{This spice blend would be delicious on so many things! Tilapia, shrimp, tofu...I think? I've never made tofu before but I imagine this would work well!}

  1. I didn't know you could buy a grill pan!!! For my apartment with no outdoor space, this is exactly what I need. Thanks for sharing what looks to be a yummy recipe as well.
