pinterest recipes that i've actually made

Two of my favorite pastimes are 1. trying new recipes and 2. thinking constantly about food. So, it goes without saying that I'm a recipe-pinning fiend on Pinterest. {You can follow my foodie page here.} While I definitely have many, many more pinned recipes to actually try out in my own kitchen, here are a few winners that I've come across so far.

1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars with Pretzel Crust {two peas and their pod}
    -- warning: pretzel crust is a bit hard to maneuver, but totally worth it.

2. Egg-in-a-Hole Grilled Cheese {a cozy kitchen}
    -- I'm a sucker for a great egg sandwich, and this is just...simply genius.

3. Baked Falafel {chow vegan}
    -- I was shocked with how delicious these turned out. perfect pantry recipe for a quick falafel-craving fix.

4. Portabella Pizza Bites {my p90x nutrition plan}
    -- don't be fooled by the "healthy" blog title - these are delish! however, I may or may not have actually used full-fat cheese.

5. BBQ Beer Chicken {how sweet eats}
    -- favorite so far. hands down.

6. Spicy Feta + Red Pepper Dip {channeling contessa}
    -- just made this last night! so simple and delicious - I just doubled the amount of roasted reds than what the recipe calls for.

7. Chocolate-Covered PB Ritz Sandwiches {spoon fork bacon}
    -- so I didn't technically make these. but I ate them, and let me just say - whoa.

  3. I might have to try #'s 2 and 5 soon. I recently tried a spinach and garlic spaghetti (http://jessthomson.wordpress.com/2011/07/10/an-off-week/), but it wasn't as good as I was hoping. I will be trying crock pot chicken tacos (http://mychocolatetherapy.blogspot.com/2012/01/crockpot-chicken-tacos.html) later this week. Hopefully they're good!
