monday musings

I bought a Nook for myself for myself a few weeks ago, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't read a word on it yet. With literally any book at my fingertips, where do I begin?! Here are just a few books that are on my ever-growing reading list.

1. "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" by Mindy Kaling. {I know I'm wayyy behind on reading this book but I just haven't gotten around to it yet - might be my first Nook purchase!}

2. "In the Garden of Beasts" by Erik Larson. {I absolutely loved Erik Larson's last book "The Devil In the White City" and can't wait to pick this one up.}

3. "The Marriage Plot" by Jeffrey Eugenides.

4. "Stories I Only Tell My Friends" by Rob Lowe. {You can go ahead and stop judging me now.}

5. "Just Kids" by Patti Smith.

What have you been reading lately?

  1. Yes, definitely check out the Mindy Kaling memoir. I think Allie just finished reading it, and I read it a couple of months ago. I think you'll like it. Tina Fey's Bossypants was also great.

    So far I'm about 25% of the way through The Marriage Plot. Very good so far, but different than Middlesex if you read that.

    I also totally want to read Rob Lowe's memoir. :)

    Happy Monday!

  3. First off I heard the Rob Lowe book is really good. Secondly, I am on the 3rd book in the Hunger Games trilogy and am so sad it's ending soon! Those books are great, and are pretty cheap for your nook. (I've got a kindle but I'm betting they're around the same price)

  5. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is one of the best books I've read in awhile. On my to-read list: The Fault in Our Stars, The Journal of Best Practices, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Dead End in Norvelt...and so many more! There is too little time.
